Experience
the real Bali with a unique countryside adventure - our idyllic
plantation is set in a peaceful Balinese village location,
perfect for theme banquets and field trips for both convention
groups and private parties.
Giving
ample shade to the wide expanse of gardens is an orchard of
a variety of tropical fruits, such as blimbing (star-fruit),
sawo (sapodilla), the infamous pungently perfumed durian,
srikaya, sirsak (soursop) and bananas of all sizes and colours.
Your
Sukahet Sari experience offers a unique, culturally sensitive
window on traditional Balinese life. The programmes offered
have been specifically designed to achieve this without interrupting
the local village life, whilst at the same time preserving
Balinese culture.
Created
in accordance with Hindu "trihita karana" principles,
the Sukahet Sari countryside haven exists in symbiosis between
man, nature and the gods. This philosophy is reflected in
the peaceful atmosphere imbued by our microcosm of traditional
island life. Back-dropped by the awe-inspiring Mt. Agung,
our pavilions are laid out according to traditional Balinese
architectural principles. Each pavilion within the complex
is employed for a different traditional activity - such as
offering-making, "gamelan" (traditional gong music),
iron forgery, liquor distilling, and preparing food. There
are two large banquet pavilions that embrace acentral stage
area designed for performances of local music and dance. Located
beside a bubbling brook, the vast gardens provide shady areas
for village market scenes and local games, cock fighting,
and children's activities such as stilt-walking and hide-and-seek.
Nearby you will find a fish hatchery, each pool full to bursting
with a different variety of local edible fish.
Join
the villagers of Sukahet Sari as they go about their daily
activities in rural Bali. Experience a day in the life of
your Balinese hosts.
